7 Most Disappointing Chiefs Despite 5-0 Start

Even though the Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0, the 2024 season has been far from perfect. These seven players have been the most disappointing Chiefs through five games.

3. Skyy Moore, WR

Remember when Skyy Moore was supposed to be the future of Kansas City's wide receiver room? The former Western Michigan playmaker was drafted 54th overall by the Chiefs in 2022 after amassing nearly 1,300 receiving yards and nine TDs in his final college football season.

It's been a slow start for Moore's professional career, though. After barely finishing with more than 250 yards in his first two seasons, the 24-year-old wideout has yet to make a reception through the first five games of the 2024 campaign. What's even worse is that he's only been targeted twice while averaging only 9.8 offensive snaps per appearance.

It just doesn't seem as if a turnaround is going to happen soon. It'd be one thing if Moore was still receiving opportunities, however, that clearly isn't the case given that he only played six snaps on Monday.

It isn't as if he's sticking out on special teams either. He's only fielded a single 15-yard return thus far and has played exactly a trio of special teams snaps in three of the last four games. Regardless of how you slice it, a player like that is replaceable.

Considering how the Chiefs can free up Moore's entire $1.58 million 2025 salary if he's released in the offseason, per Spotrac, he must find a way to bounce back if he wants to remain in Kansas City.
