5 Chiefs Fans Will Be Happy to See Leave This Offseason

2. Derrick Nnadi, DT
It isn't a secret that Derrick Nnadi's 2024 performance was far from what Chiefs fans were accustomed to. The former 2018 third-rounder went from starting in each of his appearances in 2023 to making one start in 20 games between the 2024 regular season and playoffs.
Unsurprisingly, Nnadi's production dipped with his playing time. The ex-Florida State Seminole only mustered a combined six solo tackles from Week 1 to Super Bowl 59, which is smaller than any total he's produced in a regular season. It's just hard to find positives in a performance like that.
Not only was Nnadi's 40.8 defense grade the seventh-worst mark among interior defenders, per Pro Football Focus, but it was also dead last among the Chiefs' entire defensive unit.
It's tough imagining a world where the Chiefs brass sees Nnadi as a positive asset to the team. He's likely beloved by his teammates and has played a role in three Super Bowl title runs, however, all partnerships must come to an end.
Who knows? A fresh start might help Nnadi get back on track, potentially leading to a starting job elsewhere.
