The Kansas City Chiefs will be back on football's biggest stage this weekend when they collide with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59.

As excited as some players are to be competing for the Lombardi Trophy, it could be the last opportunity for several to do so as a Chief. After all, the NFL offseason will begin following Sunday's showdown, meaning it won't be much longer before 20 Kansas City players become unrestricted free agents in March.

While general manager Brett Veach will retain some of those players, others must prove that they still belong in next season's plans.

With that in mind, here are three Chiefs who can guarantee their 2025 return with strong Super Bowl 59 performances.

1. Marquise Brown, WR

Lacking big-play receivers, the Chiefs went out and signed Marquise Brown to a one-year contract ahead of the 2024 campaign. The hope was that the former 1,000-yard wideout would re-discover his groove catching pass from Patrick Mahomes after spending five previous seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens.

Unfortunately, Brown's Kansas City tenure began on the wrong foot. The former 2019 first-rounder suffered a preseason shoulder injury that held him out of the Chiefs' lineup until Week 16. He ended up playing to mixed results in his two regular-season appearances, catching 9-of-15 (60.0%) of targets for 91 receiving yards without a touchdown.

The Hollywood, FL native's play hasn't improved much in the playoffs. Brown was held without a catch against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round before making just three grabs for 35 yards in the AFC Championship win over the Buffalo Bills.

Now that his injury situation is in the rearview, Brown needs to show why the Chiefs paid him $6.5 million in guaranteed cash this season. He's capable of being better than he's shown, and he must reach his potential this weekend if he wants to be back in Kansas City this fall.
