Five contributors KC Chiefs can land if they move down
Wyatt Hubert, DE (Kansas State)
While the Chiefs have a slew of assets invested along the defensive front, they are always on the lookout for pass rushers, and Kansas State’s Wyatt Hubert provides the opportunity for the Chiefs to find a situational pass rusher, one with local ties, and someone to provide depth along the defensive line.
Hubert may never fully develop into a full-time defensive end, but has the potential to contribute as a pass rusher in the right scheme. A bit undersized from the traditional defensive end, Hubert has shown an ability to attack and get into the backfield on a regular basis while with the Wildcats.
While the Chiefs don’t need an every-down defensive end, finding someone with experience getting pass rush is always a benefit.
The concerning portion of Hubert is the lack of arm length and size. So while Hubert doesn’t fit the profile of the above prospects developing into something more, he is the mid to late-round prospect that could find a niche role contributing early and carving out a role, at least for a short time in the NFL.

As far as who I’d like to see the Chiefs move down and grab, Walker Little of Stanford should be the name to know. Rarely does a player with his pedigree find himself available on Day 2 of the draft. While I don’t know if Little is capable of starting as a rookie, especially early, his chances are far better than other names Chiefs fans continue to hear.
Marco Wilson is another name that, because of the current depth, could — along with L’Jarius Sneed — provide a quality group of corners. Wilson has a similar size to recent pickup DeAndre Baker but is far more athletic and is not coming off a serious injury.
Wilson has the experience to help early and the athletic profile to grow into something more than just depth. That’s the kind of draft pick the Chiefs should be targeting, and perhaps looking for in the upcoming draft.
If the Chiefs do decide to trade back in the 2021 NFL Draft, these five names are who they could be doing so for.
