Refuting Colin Cowherd’s list of why KC Chiefs won’t win five more titles

Am I saying that Chiefs Kingdom can count on the next ten Super Bowls being all KC Chiefs victories? Absolutely not.

Cowherd is right and winning the Super Bowl is really hard.

There are a lot of good teams out there, and it is not only possible, but likely that some of those years the Chiefs will get knocked off their throne by a team that is just better then them, at that time anyway, or a team that just gets lucky.

More from KC Kingdom

Here is what Colin Cowherd and all my trolls on Twitter are missing.

We as Chiefs fans might be “starving” as Cowherd put it, and we might be chomping at the bit for more championships, but that is not just because we finally won one, our first in five decades. It is because the Chiefs front office has formulated the perfect recipe for sustained success.

Look at why the Patriots had that sustained their success for so many years and tell me the Chiefs don’t have the same thing, or something even close to it.

The Chiefs have in Patrick Mahomes, by Cowherd’s own admission “the best in the game.” They have a brilliant ellete head coach that will hopefully be with the team as long as Mahomes himself.

Mahomes is surrounded by an imbarrassment of riches on the offensive side of the ball and the Chiefs have structured his contract in such a way that they can continue to surround him with such weapons.

They seem to have found a defensive coordinator in Steve Spagnuolo and the defense shows improvement with every game, not to mention the stars on the defensive side of the ball such as Jones, Frank Clark, and Tyrann Mathieu are locked down as well. That sounds like a recipe for sustained success to me.

Chiefs Kingdom might be starving, but the reason we have such faith that the championships are going to continue, and the Kansas City Chiefs can bag at least five more in the next 10-12 years, is because the gang is all here, and it shows no signs of splitting up.
