KC Chiefs: Three most intriguing players heading into 2020 season
By Chris Clark
There really are many other players that could find themselves on this list for the KC Chiefs’ 2020 season.
The return of safety Juan Thornhill from injury after a favorable rookie season is definitely something to keep an eye on. His ascension to be one of the more talented defensive backs around will likely continue in year two. The other half of that talented safety tandem, Tyrann Mathieu, could also make this list.

Based purely on his leadership on this team in his second year in Kansas City will be something to watch. He’ll likely be the impetus for pushing this defense to new heights to compliment a lethal offense.
There’s also the small but possibly significant signing of former first-round pick Taco Charlton. After being discarded by the Cowboys and Dolphins, it’s intriguing to know if Charlton will leave behind the draft bust status and become a force to be reckoned with.
And what about Clyde Edwards-Helaire? His first challenge will be climbing into the RB1 spot on the depth chart, but his talent coupled with such a high-flying offense could put him squarely in the offensive rookie of the year conversation. Will he be the piece that the offensive has been missing, if it’s really been missing, since the exit of Kareem Hunt?
No matter who else could have made this list, this team as a whole is brimming over with intriguing players as they barrel towards back to back championships in 2020.
