EVEN BETTER KC CHIEFS OFFENSE – NUMBER 1: A HEALTHY MAHOMES

In week seven of the 2019 regular season, the Chiefs lost Patrick Mahomes to injury and fans feared for the worst. Fortunately, he missed two starts and was back at it by week ten.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes played well down the stretch, but there were certainly times where his knee was clearly bothering him. This offseason, however, Mahomes has been working out and it’s hard to tell that the guy ever had a knee injury of any kind.

A healthy Mahomes is the difference between a 14-2 Chiefs team and an 11-5 Chiefs team. If he’s able to reach his fullest potential, there’s no reason this team should lose more than a few games in 2020. The offense should be clicking on all cylinders and as we saw in the AFC Championship Game, if Mahomes sees an opportunity to make a play with his legs, he’ll be able to do so.

This offense can go as far as Mahomes can take them, so if his knee is good to go, then the Chiefs offense is going to continue wrecking havoc on the rest of the league.

The past two years have seen the KC Chiefs’ offense being one of the best in the entire league and that should continue to be the case in 2020.

With the offense not losing any players this offseason, the addition of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and a healthy Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs offense is going to be the best its been under Andy Reid. Buckle up, Chiefs Kingdom!
