The KC Chiefs have addressed a lot of their needs throughout the course of the offseason, but there are still positions that need some upgrading. Even taking the best available player helped fill some of those holes.

In a perfect world, the Kansas City Chiefs would probably go with a cornerback or an offensive lineman in the first round or at least with their first two picks. When going with best available players in this particular mock draft, however, those were the final two picks made. It’d also have been nice for the Chiefs to have landed a linebacker in this mock draft.

Still – It’d be hard to be angry about Clyde Edwards-Helaire joining this offense because he’d put it over the top. Damien Williams is only under contract for one more season, Darrel Williams has been banged up, and Darwin Thompson didn’t show much in year one (though that could still change for sure).

Ross Blacklock could be a nice defensive prospect to throw along that front and hopefully he’d blossom into a solid NFL defender. Ashtyn Davis would be used in more of a reserve role, but with Juan Thornhill’s injury last year, adding another safety isn’t a bad idea in the least bit, but not necessarily this high.

Tyler Biadasz showed durability during his time at Wisconsin and his ability to play center could be something that interests Kansas City. Dane Jackson probably isn’t anything more than a depth piece at cornerback, but we said the same thing about Rashad Fenton last year and he turned out to be a nice player.
