Young depth along the offensive line could be important to ensure Patrick Mahomes stays upright for years to come.

Since arriving in Kansas City, Andy Reid has shown a preference for versatility and an ability to pass block over all else. Remember, in 2018, the starting offensive line featured five players that had played tackle in college, including then starting center Mitch Morse.

More from Chiefs Draft Analysis

While it may not be a position that is addressed early, who are some players that we could see in mid to late rounds come off the board to KC?

Lloyd Cushenberry was the starting center for LSU on the title run, has experience in a spread type offense, and could potentially step in early and play at either center or guard. He is probably the first of these players to come off the board in the draft, perhaps as early as the second round.

Ezra Cleveland of Boise State is the true tackle in this group and could be a swing tackle for the Chiefs after playing left tackle in college. Local Kansas Jayhawk Hakeem Adeniji has good size and could potentially move inside to guard for the Chiefs, but is another player that has that versatility the Chiefs love, and his athleticism could allow him to be a backup at multiple spots.

Darryl Williams has played both guard and center at Mississippi State and is a mid to late round interior lineman that could be with the organization for awhile if given time.
