Cam Akers is the ideal fit for the Kansas City Chiefs and should draw their focus in the 2020 NFL Draft.

As mentioned before, as we see the offense go stagnant for periods of time or completely incapable of running the ball on a consistent basis, the need of a running back is easily and readily apparent. Avoiding the costs of free agency, the draft is the ideal spot to find the back and the ideal player for the Chiefs is Florida State product Cam Akers.
Akers has the ability to get up the field, catch out of the backfield, block, contribute in all facets of the game for the Chiefs. With the power of Darrel Williams and the speed and shiftiness of Darwin Thompson, Akers is the ideal prospect to pair with the two younger players, all capable of contributing to the offense.
Running backs in the draft are great value, especially when they come outside of the first round. The Chiefs would get Akers (or someone else) for a really low cost for at least four years and could use free agent dollars to address other areas on the roster.
For the draftniks, I’m clearly a fan of Cam Akers and you should be too.
