The Chargers were the only team to win in the AFC West this past weekend, but it could have easily been all four teams winning or all four teams losing. The games were that close.

All four of these games were incredibly close, but the most surprising was seeing the Mahomes-less Chiefs take the Packers down to the wire. Matt Moore played well and did enough to get his team the victory, but the Chiefs came up just short.

The Raiders also almost won their game, but Deshaun Watson is a freaking magician and pulled out some magic to clinch that game. Still, Oakland has impressed this season despite their 3-4 record and playing on the road for over a month.

Los Angeles won a gross game, but a win is a win. Will this be what gets the Bolts back on track or are they still going to be left for dead in the division?

Lastly, the Broncos, who played Indy tough and really should have won that game. For the third time this season though, they lost on a last second field goal. If those weren’t a thing, the Broncos could be 5-3 right now. Crazy.

Before I sign off, here are the standings in the AFC West:

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (5-3)
  2. Oakland Raiders (3-4)
  3. Los Angeles Chargers (3-5)
  4. Denver Broncos (2-6)

The KC Chiefs still hold a two game lead over the second place Raiders and should be in good shape to win their fourth straight AFC West title. Mahomes should be back in two weeks and the other injured Chiefs should return as well. This team at full strength could put up a good fight against the Patriots, even if they don’t get home field advantage in the playoffs.

Will the KC Chiefs continue to build on their lead or will the Raiders gain some ground next week?
