With Patrick Mahomes’ injury last week, can the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Packers? Let’s see how the Madden sim for this week predicts the game to go.

On the surface, last week’s win over the Broncos looked huge for the Kansas City Chiefs coming off of two straight losses, but when you take into account the effect of Mahomes going down, it makes last week even more gloomy than the previous two.

Because of this, nobody is talking about who is going to get the win at Arrowhead on Sunday night. While it is fair to be more worried about Mahomes than the result of the game Sunday, we still ran the Madden sim because this game is important whether it’s currently at the forefront of most peoples’ minds or not.

Before we look at this week’s predictions, let’s take a quick look at how the Madden sim from last week went. Last Thursday didn’t go as anyone expected it to, so we are going to take it easy on Madden this week and keep the review of last week short.

Since we are keeping it short, there is just one thing that has to be talked about in regards to last week’s simulation. How in the world did you have Joe Flacco throwing for five touchdowns in the sim, Madden? I mean come on, that was crazy talk.

There were a few other things that could’ve been knit-picked about with last week’s sim, but again, we are keeping it short this week since the game went way differently than anyone could’ve predicted.

So let’s jump into this week’s simulation, shall we?

CHIEFS STATS

PACKERS STATS

*Frank Clark has been named OUT for Sunday’s game

If you told me right now that the Kansas City Chiefs defense would hold Rodgers to under 200 yards passing and the Jones-Williams duo to under 75 combined rushing yards, I would put money down that the Chiefs would win with or without Mahomes.

Madden, however, predicted these stats with the Packers still winning, so I guess we will see how it goes, but holding the Packers offense under 275 yards would be a big win for the Chiefs defense regardless of what the scores say. So I’d take it.

It looks like Madden thinks that the Chiefs will get their run game heavily involved without Mahomes under center. If both McCoy and Williams can have a big game Sunday night, that would be another good sign for Kansas City.

Madden also shows no signs of Hill slowing down without Mahomes. This was true last week, as he and Moore connected on a big touchdown play last week. If those two can carry that developed chemistry into this week and have another big connection or two, the Chiefs could mess around and pull off the upset even without their star quarterback.

Madden predicts the KC Chiefs to lose this week, but also predicts a lot of stats that would favor the home team. This will be a different week for Chiefs fans with Mahomes out.

Can the Chiefs prove Madden wrong and get a big dub this week? Tune in Sunday night to find out!
