WINNER: ANTHONY HITCHENS

Anthony Hitchens has gotten a lot of crap since joining the Chiefs last year, but he had a nice game against Denver! Hitchens totaled six tackles (five solo and one for loss), two sacks, and two quarterback hits.

WINNER: BEN NIEMANN

Ben Niemann is quietly having a respectable season. He had six tackles (five solo and one for loss) on Thursday, including a big hit on Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay near the end of the game.

WINNER: FRANK CLARK

Yay! Frank Clark had a breakout game and it’s about time! He tallied two sacks on Joe Flacco while also notching five tackles and two quarterback hits. A lot of fans liked the match-up between Clark and Garett Bolles, and Clark finally showed what he can do. Now let’s keep that momentum going.

WINNER: ALEX OKAFOR

He had two sacks and was wrecking havoc all night too. Great night for the former Saints defender.

WINNER: OVERALL DEFENSE

Other than the first Broncos offensive drive, the Chiefs defense was out for blood in the Mile High city. You can see below, courtesy of BJ Kissel’s Twitter account, just how dominant the Chiefs D was in primetime.

After two brutal weeks, the defense pinned their ears back and put on a show in Denver.

Perhaps the injury to Patrick Mahomes motivated them or maybe the Broncos offense is really as bad as we all thought it was. Whatever the reason, the KC defense definitely belongs in the winner’s category this week. Soak it up while you can.
