Five best newcomers through first quarter of KC Chiefs 2019 season

NUMBER ONE – EMMANUEL OGBAH
The trade for Emmanuel Ogbah in the spring was one that might not have registered as a big deal. Ogbah was a bust in Cleveland, who was seen as high potential player who needed time to develop into an elite player.

After having five and a half sacks in his rookie year, Ogbah saw his numbers dwindle in the coming year until he was sold off to Kansas City to serve as nothing more than depth behind the fearsome defensive line the Chiefs had.
But through four weeks Ogbah has been the best player on the entire defense with maybe the exception of Chris Jones. Despite playing less than half the snaps, Ogbah leads the team with two and a half sacks, ten tackles, and a forced fumble.
Ogbah has seen his snaps steadily rise as the season has progressed and it will be very interesting to see if his production remains. If it does, Emmanuel Ogbah could finally live up to his pre draft potential and go from unheralded newcomer to the third star on the defensive line.
CONCLUSION
The KC Chiefs have seen quite a bit from their newcomers to this point, but these five have stood out the most. It’s a shame that Frank Clark hasn’t emerged as a pass rush threat yet, but maybe after the second quarter that will change.
