After years of drafting for depth on defense, Chiefs must address depth where they win, on offense.

More from KC Kingdom

For the past couple of years, the Kansas City Chiefs have primarily focused their draft assets, what limited quantities they had, toward defense. Now, the team must focus on finding and developing young and inexpensive depth on offense.

With long-term depth questions at every skill position not known as quarterback, finding players able to contribute, even if its not in a starting role, is highly important. The Chiefs need to continue building their offense if they want to continue being at the top of the pack every year.

These are some of my favorite players on offense from schools found outside the big conferences. Obviously there are more out there and some will develop into future top draft picks with strong 2019 seasons, but these are ones I’ve been following and will continue to follow throughout the 2020 season.

This season should be a fun one for all of the aforementioned players! Keep your eye on them this year, Chiefs fans!
