Fantasy Football: Top 15 Rookies to Target in 2019
As mentioned throughout the post, drafting rookies in fantasy football can be risky. We’re not sure if what these guys did so masterfully at the collegiate level will translate to the pros.
The top six on this list are players worth taking in the early to middle rounds. Rookie running backs can get opportunities to start due to how taxing the position is and how often injuries occur so it only makes sense that those players would top the list.

The only quarterback to make this list is Kyler Murray, who is someone who likely gets drafted, but mainly as a backup. That should be what Murray’s planned role is for your team unless you participate in a two-quarterback league in which case, he could be a fringe QB2.
Murray’s ability to run with the ball is an important one, but it’s highly unlikely that he goes for over 1,000 rushing yards in the NFL, especially as a rookie. He’s also going to take a pounding behind that hideous offensive line in Arizona.
The rest of the players after Murray should be available in the final rounds of the draft and you should be able to scoop them up off the waiver wire in the early weeks of the season.
Rookies are unpredictable, so tread with caution with any that you might draft. Joshua Jacobs is the only one who will probably go in the really early rounds and that’s because he’s likely a surefire starter for the Raiders.
Otherwise, they should all be available in the middle rounds for you to take a gamble on.
Best of luck this season, fantasy football owners!
