NUMBER 1 – JAKE FROMM (GEORGIA)

Mizzou at Georgia – November 9th

Without a doubt, the toughest signal caller the Missouri Tigers will face off against is Jake Fromm out of Georgia. We know Fromm’s story well by this point; He took over the reigns as a freshman two years ago and led the Bulldogs all the way to the National Championship game.

Since then, Fromm has remained as one of the best quarterbacks in college football. He should likely hear his name called in the first round in next year’s draft, assuming he has a good season and forgoes his senior season.

Last year saw Fromm throw for 2,761 yards, 30 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He had a fantastic game in Columbia last year, throwing for 260 yards, three touchdowns, and one pick. This year, he gets the Tigers on his home turf in Athens, which is no bueno for MU.

SUMMARY

The 2019 season schedule lines up beautifully for Mizzou football to make waves and potentially make a run at the SEC title game. They still have to battle with Jake Fromm and the Georgia Bulldogs on their side of the conference, but Missouri is talented, no doubt.

Standing in the way of perhaps a special season are all of these quarterbacks from the conference.  I only chose to rank the SEC quarterbacks and not all of them, but those non-conference signal callers could provide some trouble too. Kaleb Barker of Troy, Austin Kendall of West Virginia, and Sean Chambers of Wyoming could all do some damage to a pretty lousy MU secondary.

Even with some tough QBs on the schedule, the Missouri Tigers should make a splash in 2019.
