Arguably the best option is already in camp for Chiefs. Mark Fields and D’Montre Wade are options currently in in St. Joe.

While the Chiefs work on restoring their defensive backfield, two young intriguing options are on the roster already and could provide depth both this year and in to the future.

Mark Fields played at Clemson where they just won the National Championship for the second time in three seasons and joined the Chiefs as a undrafted free agent this past spring.

D’Montre Wade spent the 2018 season with Chiefs practice squad after joining the organization as an undrafted player from Murray State.

The two thus far have had strong training camps, Wade especially has been the darling of the social media world with his play early on in training camp.

The Chiefs desperately need some youth at the position as the group is in such flux. Two of the top three corners, Bashaud Breeland and Kendall Fuller are free agents after the season and there is nothing decided or known on the depth chart behind those three.

Will late round pick in 2018 Tremon Smith make the team or what about 2019 selection Rashad Fenton?
