After falling short against the Chargers, Rams, Seahawks, and the Patriots twice during last year’s season, there were some putting more weight on his shoulders saying he couldn’t close out the big games.
With opposing players on the schedule like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Andrew Luck among others, this is the year to silence the doubters and prove that can close out the big game and put teams away in fourth quarter!
Winning the Super Bowl would obviously be great, but if Mahomes can just GET there, he should be in line to win his second straight MVP title.
SUMMARY
After showing the nation what he is capable of doing on the field, from no look passes to throwing with his left hand, it’s time to give this fan base an encore.
Patrick Mahomes has all the tools and weapons around him to make a push for his second MVP run. Putting up identical numbers or even better numbers is going to be a difficult task, but if he can build on last season, stay on the field, and shut the door when he needs too, I don’t see why he cant take home MVP honors for a second consecutive season!
Now I want to hear from you, Chiefs fans. What do you think Patrick Mahomes needs to do in order to win his second MVP title? Who are his biggest competitors to win the coveted award for the 2019 season?
