Week 14 – Tom Brady

Just the mention of the name of the six-time Super Bowl winner is enough to boil the blood of any Chiefs fan. Say what you want about Tom Brady, but he’s the gold standard for any quarterback success. Unfortunately, for 31 other teams, the 19-year NFL veteran doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

A recent social media post shows that Brady is still able to throw the old pigskin over 60 miles per hour. Not only that, but his forty-yard time is better at 41 years old than it was at 23 years old. It’s really a testament to Brady’s unorthodox training and dietary methods and his drive as a competitor.

More from KC Kingdom

Unlike the quarterbacks listed above, this game will be played on enemy turf. Kansas City looks to have a tough December with three division games and a date with the vastly improved Bears team in Chicago, in addition to the New England game.

Needless to say, a trip to Foxboro to face Belichick and Brady in the midst of all that will test Kansas City’s mettle.

Much like Aaron Rodgers, Brady is also cool under pressure, which makes him a much tougher quarterback to face. On the flipside, though, Brady has shown that his game can be pressured enough to result in really poor performance. Seeing him get benched at Arrowhead in 2014 is enough to make any defense lick their chops.

There’s also the instance in 2016 when Brady could hardly move the needle against the Broncos in Denver during that year’s AFC Championship game. The hits he suffered during that game clearly helped make the difference in his play.

This season in Week 14, we’ll be getting primed for January football and that particular game will certainly have a playoff feel to it. Look for ex-Patriots defensive line coach, Brendan Daly, dial-up something unique against his old team and make things difficult for Brady.
