Kansas City Chiefs: Three takeaways from 2019 NFL Draft
By Chris Clark
Conclusion
Overall, it looks like this year’s draft class has more potential to make an immediate impact than last year’s. Both sides of the ball could be improved because of the newly added young talent and defense especially will be better with elite pass rusher, Frank Clark. It may have been a less exciting draft not having a first-round pick, but the Chiefs’ draft just started a little earlier in the week.

In addition to the names mentioned above, Kansas City also added a running back that knows how to create missed tackles in Darwin Thompson.
Also, a cornerback, Rashad Fenton, was picked to help shore up the secondary and a center/guard, Nick Allegretti, was brought in to hopefully help fill the void left by the departed Mitch Morse. These could really be some under-the-radar picks that become something special under the Chiefs coaching staff.
Even with a draft class that brings a lot of optimism, Chiefs Kingdom can be sure that Brett Veach isn’t done working to improve this team before the season begins. Along with a list of undrafted free agents already signed, the Chiefs will continue to turn over every rock in order to make it an even better roster. And there are still areas that the roster could be improved.
Chiefs Kingdom knows that Brett Veach is aggressive enough to swing for the fences. Even with the wide receiver and the defensive secondary positions getting some needed attention, there is still room to improve.
Thankfully, the Chiefs’ 2019 draft was at least a good start for building a better team.
