While Andy Reid recently alluded to general manager Brett Veach possibly making a surprise move, it may be likely that the Chiefs will elect to wait until after the draft to make a big roster move.

More from Chiefs Free Agency

Outside of a big trade, there really aren’t any splashy roster moves left to be made. Signing any of the three players listed here wouldn’t be season-changing as much as just roster building.

The biggest need of the three would be adding Tre Boston, with the defensive makeover. And who knows, maybe he becomes the best frugal move of free agency under Spagnuolo’s system. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to see him on the roster.

There’s also the possibility that Veach just starts bringing in some camp bodies and attempts to save money for some big contracts on the horizon. The Chiefs could very well be done with any significant free agency moves simply based on prudence. While there are still needs, the current roster isn’t terrible.

But here’s to hoping that the Chiefs stay aggressive and continue to build a Super Bowl caliber roster for 2019 and beyond. And hopefully, they stay aggressive even up to the draft.

If you were the Chiefs, which current free agent would you sign before the draft?
