Kansas City Chiefs: Potential tight end prospects in 2019 NFL Draft

TIGHT END DRAFT PROSPECTS – TREVON WESCO (WEST VIRGINIA)
A unique prospect perhaps with limited ceiling, Trevon Wesco is a massive blocking tight end, tipping the scales at 270 pounds. He’s a really good blocking tight end with some receiving abilities.

Wesco was primarily a blocking tight end at West Virginia with a limited pass threat abilities. However, in the open field, Wesco, despite a lack of speed in the open field, makes it difficult for the defense, especially defensive backs, to bring him down in the open field.
As a receiving threat, he lacks almost all aspects. Wesco is not quick out of the break, not explosive or fast in the open field, and despite good hands, not a threat as a receiver in any issue.
Does a team that drafts him, viewing his athleticism and blocking abilities, as a potential developmental offensive lineman? Current Eagles left tackle Jason Peters was a tight end at Arkansas before moving to offensive line as a rookie with Buffalo.
Wesco would be an interesting prospect as an undrafted, practice squad developmental type player at the position. Is he someone that likely ever becomes a starter, especially at tight end, no. But, if you want someone that could be a combo tight end/fullback type player.
