These are all players that the Chiefs should consider signing because they could compliment both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

More from KC Kingdom

While it’s likely that the KC Chiefs draft a tight end in April, they need to consider signing one in free agency too. Any of these players would be nice fits in Kansas City and none of them would probably cost too much.

I left off bigger names like Jared Cook and Austin Seferian-Jenkins because they’re going to be more expensive than what the Chiefs could spend on a tight end. Plus, neither of those guys would likely be okay with being a backup.

The Kansas City Chiefs don’t HAVE to sign a tight end, but they need to address the position either in free agency or the draft because Travis Kelce can’t continue to be the only viable option. He’s one of the best in the NFL, but if he were to get hurt, the Chiefs would be in deep trouble at tight end.
