Here are some other names to keep an eye on in the National Championship game on Monday night.

More from Chiefs Draft Analysis

  • Mark Fields – Cornerback (Clemson): Four-year backup at Clemson, but has played quality minutes for Tigers football team.
  • K’Von Wallace – Safety (Clemson): Late round prospect at safety likely returns to Clemson, but position is of need for Chiefs.
  • Kendall Joseph – Linebacker (Clemson): Late round, shorter middle backer that could be depth if KC moves on from Reggie Ragland for a more athletic linebacking group.
  • Hale Hentges - Tight End (Alabama) – Backup to Irv Smith Jr, originally from Columbia, Missouri, who could be an interesting late round/UDFA prospect at a position of long-term need at depth.
  • Saivion Smith – Cornerback (Alabama): Has good size and plays a position of need for the Chiefs. Career started at LSU before transferring to a junior college and eventually winding up at Alabama.

The Kansas City Chiefs are still in the midst of a playoff run, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be scouting players in college football’s biggest game of the year. Tons of these guys are going to hear their names called on draft weekend.
