Kansas City Chiefs: Test after test, Chiefs are proving themselves

The Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0 after completing test after test that the media, critics, and so-called experts laid on this team. These Chiefs are good.
Long before the season started for the Kansas City Chiefs, high expectations and even higher criticism surrounded this team. The young gunslinger, Patrick Mahomes, was taking over, and the addition of Sammy Watkins gave him a full slate of weapons.
For every week, there has been a brand new hurdle that the Chiefs must jump, and every single week, the Chiefs are happy to oblige. As the season approached, many wondered how Mahomes would perform in the many different scenarios he would face in the first 6 weeks. First up, the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chiefs had owned Los Angeles, so right off the bat, the pressure was on for Mahomes to keep the winning streak going against the Chargers. If Pat were to fail, then the narrative would have surely been about how the Chiefs should have kept Alex Smith. That game would have set a different course for Mahomes, possibly.

Patrick Mahomes played really well, and the streak continued. Up next were the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team that the Chiefs have faired poorly with. The skepticism was on once again. Can Mahomes do what Smith could not?
The answer was an emphatic yes.
What about the pressure of playing in front of your fan base for the first time? Mahomes came out of the gate a bit hyped up maybe against San Fran, but he settled down and looked fantastic again. He win his second straight AFC Player of the Week award.
Surely the Chiefs can’t go to Denver and win! Oh but they can, and did.
How will the Chiefs fare against one of the leagues top defenses? How will the Chiefs fare when Mahomes has an average game? The answer is win 30-14. The Jaguars spent a week of talking smack instead of watching film, and Kansas City blew them out of the water.
This weekend will be another test. Mahomes vs the goat, Tom Brady. The Chiefs have had some success against the Patriots in years past. Alex Smith came in and dominated them tot season. Will the Chiefs success remain with Mahomes?
If Kansas City beats New England on Sunday night. Any and all questions should be answered. Not only is Mahomes great, but the Chiefs are much better than the credit they are receiving.
