Kansas State Football has had many NFL prospects come through Manhattan. Dalton Risner may be the best prospect the school has ever seen.

Kansas State Football has become a respectable program for more than two decades now. Players like Dalton Risner have been a big part of that national respect.

Risner doesn’t bring the flash of a Darren Sproles or the moxy of a Josh Freeman, but he does fit the bill of what head coach Bill Snyder has tried to implement with his boys. Hard work.

This week has been a good week for Risner’s confidence. Not that he needed any more confidence.

More from KC Kingdom

Earlier in the week Risner earned a first team All-American selection from ESPN, adding to the first team selections from Athlon and USA Today. Then Pro Football Focus declared him as the No.1 tackle prospect going into the season.

Not only is Risner an elite player on the field, he is also an elite person off of it. Seldom do collegiate players do as much as he has when it comes to helping the community.

From his own organization, RiseUp, to working with children at Camp Hope and holding charity rodeos. Risner has been an inspiration to many.

He will most certainly be a first round pick in next years NFL Draft barring any setbacks health-wise. NFL teams will be salivating for an offensive tackle with his talents.

When it comes to coach Snyder’s 16 goals for success, Risner meets each goal with flying colors. He is the ultimate role model for youth everywhere. The three-time captain and four-year starter has left his mark on both the college football stage and the Wildcats program.

According to 247 Sports he’s only allowed one sack at the right tackle position and did not allow his quarterback to be touched even once in 2017. There is nothing more you can ask from an offensive lineman.

This season all eyes will be on his performance from week one to the senior bowl. He will leave the Wildcats as one of the greatest to ever play at the school.

Risner deserves all the accolades he receives and all of the fandom that the Wildcats faithful can shower him with.
