Perhaps the trickiest part of drafting a defense is knowing the difference between a great defensive team, and a great Fantasy Football defense. A defense that keeps teams in check isn’t necessarily a defense worth targeting. You want a defense that will be stacking up sacks, turnovers, and a low score.

Choosing a defense needs to be a careful act. The right defense can mean the difference between getting publicly humiliated and getting a hefty check at the end of the season.

There are defenses built for Fantasy Football. There are also defenses that will never see a roster throughout the season. It’s a position that most only draft one of, and players usually choose to ride the defense they originally picked.

Year after year the defenses change with free agency as abundant as it is. The No.1 defense last season might not be in the top 5 this season. A defense everybody stayed away from last season may be a hot pick this season.

So let’s get down to business. Grab your pen and paper, make your notes, and thank us when you lift your trophy up at the end of the season. It’s football time in America, the best season of the year. These are your ten best defenses for Fantasy Football in 2018.
