Kansas Basketball could potentially put four former Jayhawks into the NBA over the next two days. Another possibility is that none of the Jayhawks get drafted.

Four different former Kansas Basketball players could become NBA players over the next two days. Those same four could get to the weekend without hearing their names as well.

There are a few things that could happen in between that spectrum as well of course. Four players, Devonte’ Graham, Malik Newman, Svi Mykhailiuk, and Billy Preston are hoping they hear their name. If so, it would be the first time that many Kansas Basketball players were picked since 2008, their Championship season.

In 2008, the Jayhawks had six players drafted. That is the most in Kansas basketball storied history. In 1986 the Jayhawks had five total players drafted.1984 was the only other year with four.

The last season the Jayhawks didn’t have a player drafted was in 2009, the year after they won the title.

For this years crop of Jayhawks, there are all sorts of possibilities. Certain teams have seemed excited about certain players. Take Malik Newman and the Portland TrailBlazers for example. There seemed to be a mutual likeness between the two after his workout with them.

There are players we all thought would make an awesome pro, only to fade away quietly, and quickly. There are some that have surprised us as well.

With the draft now upon us, and as we get our food and beverage of choice ready, let’s take a look at some different scenarios that could take place.
