Watkins dominates in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs fans probably tried very hard to forget about the performance Watkins had against them in 2015. In the first half, Sammy went off for six catches, 158 yards, and two touchdowns. He absolutely made minced meat out of the Chiefs secondary.

It didn’t matter who was on him, or how many, Watkins dominated. He would start and finish the second half with those same stats, however. The Chiefs game is the only great performance here that Watkins’ team has lost.

He’s so quick, so strong, and very aware as a receiver. He shows a comfortableness with in-game action that can’t be ignored. You can’t deny the talents he possesses.

Eric Berry, Shawn Smith, and Ron Parker had zero answers for him during this game.

This is what should be expected with Watkins now playing for the good guys. Defenses have to pay attention to Hill, as well as Kelce and Watkins. This means the running game will flourish. This means somebody should be open after each snap. Watkins should go down as one of the biggest signings in franchise history, he has the red carpet laid out in front of him.
