I’m sure this post won’t make me popular with the readers, but a third straight division title is going to be insanely difficult for the Kansas City Chiefs.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

All of the reasons listed in this post are good arguments as to why a division title in 2018 isn’t in the cards for the KC Chiefs. They have a lot of unknowns this year and also have a tough schedule to get through.

The good news is that Andy Reid has been great against the AFC West during his time as the Chiefs head coach, so if anyone is going to “overcome these odds”, it’s Big Red himself. The Chiefs haven’t lost a game to the Broncos since 2015 and haven’t lost to the Chargers since 2013. That’s pretty impressive!

The AFC West really is wide open, but unless the Chargers have a big time injury, they’re the team to watch for this year. The Raiders and Broncos have chances to win it too (stop laughing), but the Chargers are the team I put at number one with a bullet.
