The offseason saw plenty of changes happen within the West Division but the Kansas City Chiefs will keep the crown. Here are four reasons why.

The AFC West is overflowing with storylines going into the 2018 season. From Jon Gruden returning to the Raiders, Patrick Mahomes taking over for Alex Smith with the Kansas City Chiefs, John Elway grabbing at strings with the Broncos, and old man Phillip Rivers trying to keep the Chargers relevant.

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the last two division titles, but there are new faces in K.C. as the old faces have moved on. The experts picked the Oakland Raiders to win last season, but they couldn’t do any better than 6-10. This season the Chargers are being picked as the early season favorites.

There are plenty of reasons to suggest the Chiefs will win the division again and in this piece, I will cover the four biggest reasons that Kansas City will be wearing the crown in 2018.

Andy Reid has been blessed with an offense made for Kings. Bob Sutton hasn’t been near as blessed, but he has a nice young group of rookie defensive players that could be outstanding.

The Chiefs are the defending division winners and until someone strips them of such, there is no denying it. It’s a new era at Arrowhead Stadium, a new look offense with an unknown defense and a solid special teams will be exciting to watch come August. Until then, these four things are why Chiefs fans can expect another winning season and another division title.
