Any combination of these situations will be catastrophic

The Kansas City Chiefs must be a different animal this season. If the Chiefs don’t impress in the slightest, heads will more than likely roll. There is a lot at stake in 2018. Mahomes possible future is at stake, as well as the Andy Reid era.

If the Chiefs come out and fall on their faces, more names that fans don’t want to speak of might be on their way out to make room for a new experiment.

The Chiefs have been a solid playoff contender for five years under Andy Reid and Alex Smith. Smith is gone, and no matter how bad it might get, he isn’t coming back. The Chiefs know what they’re doing though. Right?

Of course, they do. Injuries are the one issue that is out of everyone’s control. Barring injuries the Chiefs will be in the playoffs again, and if everything goes accordingly they will be one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the NFL.

These are of course the worst case scenarios. The best case scenario is all of us laughing at this piece while we celebrate a Super Bowl victory next February.
