When I heard the news that the Kansas City Chiefs signed Litton, for one, I was excited, and two, I was thinking “how in the world did Litton become untouched during the NFL Draft?” Whatever the case may be, I am extremely excited regardless.
Litton is an undrafted free agent rookie quarterback from the University of Marshall. He brings the perfect size for a prototypical pocket-quarterback. Litton has great touch on his passes and tends to see the football field very well – most of the time.
Scouts who focused their attention on Litton considered him the perfect size as an NFL quarterback, but focus on one negative the most in his decision making.
Decision making is also an issue for the Chiefs new starting quarterback in Mahomes. But, that doesn’t make Litton a non-contender to make the roster, in fact, I believe he should make the 53-man roster in a few months.
To end the discussion, let’s just say I have high hopes for Litton. Sure, with Mahomes as the starting quarterback, Litton will probably never get a legit chance as a starter. But if I were an NFL scout, I would bring him to my team in a heartbeat, because in my opinion, he is a project worth waiting for.
