The Kansas City Chiefs have several other veterans that could be in danger of getting axed this offseason.

Initially I thought about including Spencer Ware on here, but unless his rehabbing isn’t going well, it’d be a bit silly to cut a player who had nearly 1,000 yards rushing just two seasons ago. Having that kind of backup behind an already solid Kareem Hunt would give the Chiefs one of the best running back situations in the league.

I also thought about putting Chris Conley on here. Conley hasn’t lived up to the third round hype and the Chiefs went out and signed Sammy Watkins this offseason. Bringing in Watkins shows that the Chiefs don’t see Conley as one of their top two receivers, but he could be a solid third option for sure.

Defensively, yes, I did consider including Justin Houston, but I just don’t see that being a possibility. If Houston is underwhelming this season, then he’ll definitely be an option for the 2019 season, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
