Maybe I’m a nerd, but I always get excited for the schedule release each year. It’s fun to look and see which match-ups are when and what we can expect from the Chiefs throughout each month.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The thing I dislike the most about this schedule is the beginning of it. The Chiefs, if not prepared or dealt with some bad luck, could start the year 0-2 after playing both the Chargers and the Steelers on the road.

It’d also have been nice if the Kansas City Chiefs could have had more than just one primetime game at Arrowhead Stadium. After giving up a home game in 2014 to play in London, one would think the Chiefs would still be receiving benefits from doing that.

The divisional games are sprinkled in nicely throughout the year, with the Chargers being the first AFC West opponent in week one and then the Chiefs finishing the year against the Raiders in week 17. The Broncos and Chiefs will play in weeks four and eight, the other Chargers game will be on Thursday Night Football in week 15, and the other Raiders game will be at the Black Hole in early December.
