Kansas Jayhawks Basketball: Romeo Langford best in the country?
By Chris Taylor
The Kansas Jayhawks are still in the running to land Romeo Langford despite the recent FBI report being twisted around. Many say Langford is the best in the country.
Although Indiana University has been the loudest school involved in Romeo Langford’s recruitment, the Kansas Jayhawks are still in the mix. Despite the recent release of an FBI document that simply mentions the University of Kansas but has been twisted around to make it sound like they are in hot water. Despite Taco Bell making their own unique pitch, the Jayhawks have a 33.333 chance in landing what some are calling the best player in the nation.

Some thought that Kansas’ involvement with the FBI investigation of Adidas would eliminate them from consideration, but Langford made it clear this weekend that it doesn’t help or hurt them.
The mention of Langford being the best is an intriguing one. Zion Williamson has looked like the most dominant player coming out of high school, but Langford may be the most talented.
Videos like the one in this piece are all over YOUTUBE. Bloggers and Vloggers from coast to coast seem to be in agreement. Romeo Langford is the best player in the nation. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay attention to the rankings from trusted sources like Rivals and ESPN, this just suggests you should decide for yourself.
The greatest player ever? I wonder what Lebron James and Michael Jordan think about that?
Frankievison obviously thinks so. If you watched the highlights, perhaps you agree. Langford is definitely a special talent that looks like he could be playing NBA ball right now. He’s been compared to James Harden, which appears to be the likely pick for NBA MVP this season.
Is Langford a bad fit for Kansas?
CBS Sports columnist Kyle Boone thinks so. In a recent article, he states as much.
"I suspect he may simply like his chances elsewhere, where he wouldn’t likely bang up against Quentin Grimes for playing time – and prestige – in the backcourt."
If he wants to be the man, then Kansas probably isn’t right for him. He can be the man at a severely less talented program like Indiana if that’s the case. My issue with this is logic.
Take Kevin Durant for example. Even though he shared the spotlight with Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City, he was the man there. Now that Durant is in California, he has blended in but he also has a championship.

Playing alongside competition like Grimes, who happens to be a good friend of his, can only make him better. He will have to continue to work for his playing time. If Langford does choose the Kansas Jayhawks, he can still be the man. Frank Mason and Devonte Graham were both the man in Lawrence.
