Kansas Jayhawks Basketball: One simple retweet has fans going crazy
By Chris Taylor
Fans of the Kansas Jayhawks have been monitoring the Romeo Langford decision for some time, and a simple retweet from Langford has fans going nuts.
The Kansas Jayhawks are loaded with talent, even with 73 percent of last season’s scoring gone. There is one last chip to fall for Kansas, and that’s the possible signing of Indiana native Romeo Langford.
The Jayhawks are one of three teams in the running, and it feels as though they may be getting hot. Or maybe not. As was the case of Andrew Wiggins recruitment, every stone is being turned. All eyes in the collegiate basketball world are on Romeo Langford.
Very early on Sunday morning, Romeo Langford went on social media and hit a button. Chaos ensued afterward. It was a simple retweet, that’s all, just a click of the button.

The retweet became an instant barrage of back and forth between mostly Kansas and Indiana fans, but the reactions of most seemed to lean toward the notion that he may have already made his decision. The man on the left is none other than incoming freshman Quentin Grimes, and of course, Langford stands on the right.
The two have been playing ball together off and on at different events across the country, and it has been fairly obvious that the two have become pretty good friends recently.
Per the original tweet, yes, the duo of Grimes and Langford would be insane. Even more insane would be the combination of those two with incoming freshmen Devon Dotson and David McCormack.
The Jayhawks are already considered by most to be the preseason No.1 next season, which says quite a lot about all the new faces fans will see in Lawrence. As of now, Udoka Azubuike, Silvio De Sousa, Marcus Garrett, and Mitch Lightfoot are the only contributors returning from last season. It’s quite obvious the level of talent coming from the freshmen and eligible transfers is enough for the media to pencil Kansas in as No.1.

One retweet isn’t enough to bet the farm, but it’s understandable for people to get excited or discouraged. Especially those who have been paying attention. It is fun that Romeo thinks the duo of Grimes and himself would be crazy though.
