KC Royals news mostly surrounds how Opening Day is one day away. Fans have questions about the bullpen too.

The offseason and spring training have officially come and gone, so naturally the next step for the Kansas City Royals is Opening Day. The Royals get to host a true Opening Day this year, which will be Thursday at Kauffman Stadium at 3:00 CST.

We’re all excited for baseball to get underway, but one of the lingering questions has to be about what the bullpen will look like. Will the bullpen be as inconsistent as it was last year? The answer is more than likely, yes, as the pen will feature mostly new faces. Well, at least new faces to the Royals.

The bullpen used to be an area of strength for the KC Royals, but after the H-D-H Trio was no more, the fate of the bullpen took a turn. It wasn’t awful in 2016, but 2017 the pen took a pretty big step back.

I’m excited to attend Opening Day this year and hope that it’ll be as fun as some of the seasons past. While there isn’t a lot of optimism surrounding the 2018 season, Opening Day has always been a time when fans pack the K, as it signifies the start of the new baseball season.

The Kansas City Royals will be playing meaningful baseball beginning on Thursday and that’s pretty darn exciting, isn’t it? Now if only the weather around here would stop being so gross, then it’d truly feel like baseball season!
