Grilled Fish Tacos

Next on a tour of the new menu items for 2018 inside Kauffman Stadium is an offering at Rivals that promises to delight the most discerning pescatarian, the Grilled Fish Tacos.

Inside a warm flour tortilla consumers will find grilled cod, mango avocado salsa, cilantro lime sour cream and pico de gallo. It’s an addition that the executive chef at Kauffman Stadium for Aramark and the Royals, John Woychick, is proud of.

Woychick is in his first year as the executive chef after three years at the stadium. Prior to coming to Kauffman, Woychick worked at a minor-league hockey arena in New Hampshire which was preempted by two years at Fenway Park. Woychick speaks highly of his experience at Kauffman thus far.

"“Fenway and here are very similar. We try to do as much scratch cooking as humanly possible,” Woychick said. “The work force is very willing to learn and try new things. It’s a baseball town. People aren’t just here to see the team. They are trying to experience the entire ballpark, so that’s what we want. We want to make food that the common man wants instead of scaring them away.”"

While the Grilled Fish Tacos are available for order for fans who have bought Rivals tickets, the next item is even more exclusive. Inside the Royals’ premium seating area, the Konica Minolta Diamond Club, a sweet sensation will soon be stirred.
