… and with that, our fourth 2018 NFL Mock Draft is in the books! There was no other direction to go in with this one than to draft a cornerback early.

I’ve said this in nearly all of my previous mock drafts to this point, but these are a lot less fun when your team doesn’t have a first round pick. The Chiefs won’t be on the clock until Day 2 (unless they trade into round one, but I don’t see that happening) and that will be a long time to wait for Chiefs Kingdom.

More from KC Kingdom

This is probably my best mock draft yet, as the Chiefs addressed all three needs with their first three picks. They got their cornerback to hopefully replace Marcus Peters in Jaire Alexander, got a backup tight end in Mark Andrews, and added a hopeful pass rusher in Lorenzo Carter.

Some of the late round picks are gambles, especially Lowell Lotulelei, but aren’t most late round picks that way? You never know what you’re getting with a guy drafted in the sixth or seventh round.

Be sure to check out our previous three mock drafts, listed and linked below.

We still have another month and a half to go before the 2018 NFL Draft will be underway and a lot can happen between now and then. Hopefully the Chiefs make a splash in free agency so that the draft isn’t the only way to address some key positions.

What do you think about my latest mock draft, Chiefs fans?
