FREE AGENT WISH LIST FOR 2018 – COREY DICKERSON (OUTFIELD)

The Royals have a plethora of outfielders on their team, but only Alex Gordon is an every day starter. The rest are guys ranging from having some experience (Jorge Bonifacio and Paulo Orlando) to minimal experience (Billy Burns and Jorge Soler) to zero major league experience (Bubba Starling).

Even with that many outfielders on their roster, I’m still for bringing Corey Dickerson to Kansas City. He made it to the All-Star Game last year as a designated hitter, but spent a good chunk of the season in left field.

With Dickerson in town, that could mean Gordon gets permanently shifted to center (or the two could rotate) and it’d make everyone feel a little bit better about the outfield situation. This won’t happen for many reasons, but it sure would have been nice to see the Royals go after Corey Dickerson.

The former Ray could have been a nice pop to the Royals lineup that could use a power bat. Instead, we’ll have to rely on Jorge Soler to hit home runs. Can’t wait.
