I was a little nervous about this game, but mainly because of how inconsistent both teams have been this season. We’re finally seeing the KC Chiefs get back to how electric they were at the start of the season and that was indicated by them setting all types of records this year.
The biggest is that Alex Smith has thrown for over 4,000 yards, Kareem Hunt has rushed for over 1,000, and both Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce have over 1,000 yards receiving. Smith hadn’t thrown for over 4,000 yards until this year and he’s been turning heads in the NFL this year. This should help the Chiefs when it comes time for free agency.
So, what happens next? Well, the Chiefs have a date with the Broncos next weekend in Denver and then it’s playoff time! The biggest storyline in week 17 for Chiefs fans is that they’ll know who they’re facing at Arrowhead in two weeks after the regular season wraps up.
