The Kansas City Chiefs desperately need a win, but they’ll have to get past the Oakland Raiders in week 14. How does Madden see this game going?
The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t won a game since late October and the fan base isn’t having it. This is a team that started the year at 5-0 and they’re now sitting at 6-6 and tied for atop the division with the Raiders and the Chargers.
It just so happens that Kansas City’s next two opponents are the Raiders and the Chargers. First up are the Raiders, who knocked the Chiefs off in week seven, winning 31-30 in the final seconds. I still have nightmares about that game so let’s not discuss it anymore, okay?
As for last week’s Madden simulation, the video game got the results wrong, as the Chiefs did not beat the Jets. It predicted it’d be a 28-27 Chiefs victory, but instead, KC fell 38-31 in the Meadowlands in an ugly defensive showing for the Chiefs.

The sim had both Alex Smith and Josh McCown having good games, which they did. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce went OFF for the Chiefs in real life despite Madden not predicting such big games for either of them. Darrelle Revis not only didn’t get an interception, but he played quite poorly in his inaugural game as a Chief.
As for the Jets stats, Bilal Powell didn’t do quite as well as Madden predicted and Austin Seferian-Jenkins wasn’t effective at all (Madden thought he’d go for over 100 yards receiving). Robby Anderson continued to smoke the secondaries he faces though.
So,what did Madden have to say about this week’s match-up against the Rrrrrraaaaaiiiiiddddeeerrrsss? Let’s take a look.

Once again, Madden predicted the Kansas City Chiefs to win, but the Chiefs haven’t been getting the memo that they’re supposed to win the games! What gives, man? Anyway, let’s dive into these stats.

Smith is apparently going to have yet another solid game, totaling two touchdowns on the day. Apparently his main man is going to be Demarcus Robinson, which is odd. Robinson tends to be open, but Smith doesn’t look his way all that often. Maybe that changes this week.
Oh, and how about Tamba Hali getting a sack? Has Hali even played much at all this year? That’d be something if he could sack Derek Carr, as the Chiefs pass rush has been an absolute joke during this losing streak.
As for the Raiders stats, it appears that Jared Cook is going to be the one torching the Chiefs secondary this week. Cook had a good game against Kansas City the first time around, but KC’s secondary has done a much better job at covering tight ends since then.
So, Chiefs fans, do you think this Madden simulation is realistic or are you calling bull crap? We’ll find out on Sunday afternoon!
