The Kansas City Chiefs will hope to bust their slump this Sunday in the Meadowlands against the New York Jets. Does Madden think the Chiefs are up to the task?

Well, last week Madden predicted the Kansas City Chiefs would fall to the Buffalo Bills, and Madden was right. The Chiefs lost by six points as opposed to the four points that the game predicted.

The sim accurately predicted Alex Smith to play a typical Alex Smith game and for Kareem Hunt to be ineffective in the run game (thanks offensive line!). Kelvin Benjamin didn’t play in the game, so those stats were obviously meaningless.

LeSean McCoy did not have a big game at all though, which was definitely a bright spot. That was about the only positive from last Sunday’s game.

This game against the Jets is a must win game for the Kansas City Chiefs. If they lose and the Raiders and Chargers both win (Oakland faces the Giants and Los Angeles hosts the Browns), then the division will have three teams at 6-6 at the top of the pack. That’d be downright embarrassing after jumping out to a 5-0 start.

So, what does Madden think is in store for our Chiefs this week? Let’s take a look.

This result is realistic, as the last two weeks have been. Hopefully this one pans out this way though because the Chiefs are desperate for a win.

It was pretty cool to see that Darrelle Revis picked off his old team in his first game back in the NFL in nearly a year. I’d love it if that actually happened, as turnovers have been hard for the Chiefs defense to come by recently.

    More from Kansas City Chiefs

Alex Smith looks to have a bounce back game in New York, throwing for 275 yards and totaling two touchdowns (one through the air and one on the ground). While Kareem Hunt doesn’t rack up the yards, he finds the end zone for the first time since September.

As for the Jets, McCown has no problem getting the ball to his receivers. Austin Seferian-Jenkins has a huge day, going for over 120 yards receiving on the day and Robby Anderson continues to stay hot, recording a touchdown for his sixth straight game.

Harrison Butker did miss a field goal in this one, which made the game a hell of a lot closer than it needed to be. It’s hard to be upset with Butker though, as the rookie kicker has been the team’s best player since joining the Chiefs in week four.

I really don’t care what the final score is on Sunday, just as long as the Kansas City Chiefs win. This team needs a win desperately and a winning streak can begin again this weekend. Let’s get it done, Chiefs!
