This was another poor outing from the Kansas City Chiefs, but the team is still leading the AFC West and would be the four-seed in the AFC playoffs if the season ended today.

The problem is that the Chiefs are no longer far ahead in the AFC West. The Chargers and Raiders are both 5-6 and while the Chiefs hold the tiebreaker over the Chargers, this is a whole different Chargers team than what we saw in week three.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The Chargers have a solid defense and an electrifying offense. We saw that smackdown they put on the Cowboys on Thanksgiving and now know that the Los Angeles Chargers are more than capable of taking the reigns in this division.

At this point, Chiefs fans are just hoping the team can win enough games to keep their stance at the top of the division and win their second straight AFC West title. Even if they do, however, it’ll be tough to see Kansas City getting past the first round.
