The top remaining prospect for Kansas Basketball is a beast. Zion Williamson puts his talents on display in his home opener.

The 2018 recruiting class for Kansas Basketball is a ridiculously good group. The addition of Zion Williamson would undoubtedly make it one of the top recruiting classes Bill Self has ever had. Zion is a rare specimen. He’s built like Udoka Azubuike, with better athleticism. Watching this kid play makes a man pray that Zion chooses his school.

Zion made his official visit during Late Nite earlier this season. Experts have Kentucky and Clemson as the frontrunners to land him sometime during the spring now that fall recruiting is over. The experts have been wrong before (Andrew Wiggins).

Take a look at some of his performance on opening night, including a massive windmill dunk that would look even better in Allen Fieldhouse.

The Spartanburg senior scored 29 points to go with his 18 rebounds in the home opener against the Hammond School.

Zion will undoubtedly be a one and done player wherever he decides to go, that has never stopped Bill Self from recruiting them. Self has turned the one and done era into a fine art, with players such as Frank Mason and Devonte Graham playing through their senior years.

Williamson started playing basketball at the age of five, and was coached by his mother through middle school. He averaged 20 points per game in middle school.

He averaged 24 points and nine rebounds as a freshman for the Griffins of Spartanburg. His sophomore and junior year the Griffins won the State Championship. He helped in a huge way, averaging almost 37 points and 13 rebounds per game.

He currently ranks in the top 3 Nationally among all the major recruiting sites. Needless to say, whoever lands the 6′ 8″ forward will have an advantage over their opponents. Here’s hoping Mount Zion changes the geographical map of Lawrence, Kansas.
