Kentucky holds a distinct advantage historically against Kansas in this series. In 30 games against the Jayhawks, the Wildcats have won 22 times. KU beat UK in each of the last two seasons and has won in five of their last eight meetings.
Kansas only has eight scholarship players right now, but only eight players have seen action for Kentucky thus far in their two games so this should be an even playing field.
Lagerald Vick led the Jayhawks in scoring in their first game with 23, and Hamidou Diallo is the top scorer for the Wildcats, averaging 17 points through two games.
This game, set on a national stage, will be an early gauge to see how each team measures up with another top-ranked team. The Champions Classic is a terrific early season event for fans. Who can forget the jumper by Frank Mason III in the waning seconds last year in New York against Duke that sealed a 77-75 win for the Jayhawks?

This should be yet another great matchup for the Kansas basketball team. You want your team playing the best, and the Kentucky Wildcats certainly qualify. Look for a fast-paced game that may be a bit sloppy at times, with lots of fouls. The Kansas Jayhawks should come out on top, but should be a close, fun game!
