With the Kansas Jayhawks already buried, K State and Mizzou put a hold on their obituaries for another week.

Kansas State went down to Lubbock and stole a win in overtime to stay alive for an eighth straight bowl bid.

The Mizzou Tigers dominated the Florida Gators on the way to their third straight victory.

Last and definitely the least, the Kansas Jayhawks made sure there wasn’t a team worse than them in the Big12.

Let’s start with some humor

There’s nothing funny about Kansas football.

The only protests there need to be across the nation are those that include David Beaty getting fired. I choose to believe the NFL has taken notice, as players acknowledge the atrocity of Kansas football.

Why hasn’t Trump demanded his firing yet? Do your job Mr. President.

The impressive

Mizzou manhandled the Florida Gators. Manhandled! 45-16.

More from KC Kingdom

A new head coach for the Gators resulted in more sub par play. Things are a mess in Gainesville.

Mizzou stays alive, just a win away from becoming bowl eligible. A feat that didn’t seem possible four weeks ago.

The Tigers host Tennessee next week, who happen to be fighting for their own bowl lives.

Barry Odom saves his job next week. Mizzou is officially one of the hottest teams in football.

Deserving of a pat on the back

The Kansas State Wildcats got a win in overtime, as they can’t seem to get away from close games.

Apparently Bill Snyder has a group of decent quarterbacks. Against Texas Tech Snyder searched the chess club for a guy with an arm. Found him, and check mate.

Skylar Thompson came up huge when it mattered and led a memorable comeback to send it into overtime, where he sealed the deal.

Moving forward Snyder should just stick with the kid. The competition gets tougher here on out. West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Iowa State remain.

One more win and Snyder gets another bowl game.

Just because

Did you see the OU vs OSU game? My gosh. Baker Mayfield is legit. Neither team can play a lick of defense, which is a bad thing come bowl time.

A combined 12,986,435 yards in this game. Absolutely insane. The best game I’ve watched in some time.
