With both the Chargers and Raiders losing on Sunday, tonight’s game for the Kansas City Chiefs is a tad more important than it was 24 hours ago.
The Kansas City Chiefs host division rival Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. The stakes just got higher with the other two AFC West teams falling on Sunday.
The Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers both fell to 3-5 with their losses. A win for the Chiefs would put them at 6-2, while every other division foe would have more losses than wins.

With doubts surrounding the defenses ability to stop teams consistently, a little breathing room would be some temporary medicine for what ails the Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite both the Broncos and Chiefs losing two in a row, this is a huge oppurtunity for both teams. Equally important as well.
The Chiefs aren’t in must-win territory like the Broncos are. A sizeable gap between 1st and 2nd place in the AFC West would be nice however.
The Kansas City Chiefs are heading towards the “easier” part of their schedule after the bye week. The game against Denver and a road game at Dallas still stand in the way.
The Chiefs have every bit of reason to be excited about this game, as do the fans. Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium is an event everyone should witness.
Adding some sugar to the game, the Denver Broncos are the visiting team. The cherry on top, Jamaal Charles comes back to Arrowhead. The first time since signing with Denver in the offseason.
He had said he wanted to prove his doubters wrong, and here is his chance.
His return may be overshadowed by his replacement by default, Kareem Hunt.
Hunt has helped Chiefs Kingdom cope with the departure of Charles quite well.

If the defense can find it’s mojo, and the Chiefs can put some distance between itself and the rest of the West, the forecast should be bright and sunny.
